What do I need to consider before the first day of skiing?

Even with all the anticipation of the winter sports season you should never lose sight of one thing: safety first. That also means preparing well for the first day of skiing, paying attention to proven and complete ski equipment and finding out about your ski resort of choice.

  • Ski/snowboard service: sharpening edges, waxing, tightening or adjusting the binding and checking ski boots. Our SPORT 2000 pros are happy to take that all on for you!
  • Choose a ski resort wisely: keep in mind what your target will be on the first day of skiing. Do you just want to spend a relaxing day or do you need a challenge?
  • Fit for skiing! Skiing is often underestimated and therefore you should be fit for your first day of skiing.
  • Observe the rules: Take time before the first day of skiing and find out about rules on and off the slopes.
  • #helmetiscool: Choose a helmet that perfectly fits you to really safely enjoy your day on the mountain.

The perfect equipment for the first day of skiing

  • wind and weatherproof clothing, of course
  • ski or snowboard pants
  • ski or snowboard jacket
  • breathable ski underwear
  • ski socks
  • fleece jacket
  • ski gloves
  • beanie
  • tube scarf/Buff
  • very important: HELMET!
  • ski googles
  • skis, ski boots and poles OR
  • snowboard and snowboard boots

Apart from that, you should also protect your skin from the sun and cold. A cream with high fat content, which you apply to your face several times, guarantees the best protection.

We wish you a wonderful start to a ski season with unforgettable fun moments!
